With 80 GB of memory of storage minimum, the iPod Classic can store the contents of most users' music collections with room to spare for photos, games, videos, television programs and even movies.

The other improvements that have been added to the iPod Classic include a brighter screen, improved battery life, "cover flow" album viewing, easier searches for songs, artists and albums, and more intuitive song playing options.

iPod Classic sounds great with the included bud style earphones, but if you don't like the included headphones, there are hundreds earphones you can choose from in all price ranges and every configuration. There are also hundreds of add-on products for iPods including docking stations, auxiliary speakers, FM tuners, FM converters, cases, and the list goes on. No other personal entertainment system is better supported by third party vendors.

And iPod classic keeps you entertained for up to 7 hours. Long flight or darkened room? Adjust the brightness for even more video playback time.
TV Shows
There's always something good on iPod classic. Browse thousands of episodes of your favorite TV shows on the iTunes Store, buy them for just $1.99 each, then sync them to iPod classic. Watch last night's episodes this morning, or buy a whole TV series and play a pocket-size marathon.
Podcasts
The iTunes Store features thousands of free video and audio podcasts, including indie favorites and offerings from such big names as ABC News, Comedy Central, ESPN, PBS, NPR, and many more. Browse and subscribe to podcasts, then sync them to your iPod classic. You can even play video podcasts on TV using an optional Apple component or composite AV cable.
Audiobooks
The digital shelves of the iTunes Store are stocked with thousands of audiobooks--including exclusives like the entire Harry Potter series--so you can catch up on your reading wherever iPod classic takes you. iPod classic recognizes where you left off and bookmarks your place. You can even adjust the reading speed to suit you.
Games
Put hours of fun at your fingertips. iPod classic comes with three games--Vortex, iQuiz, and Klondike--and you can download more from the iTunes Store for $4.99 each. All iPod games are designed specifically for the iPod interface. And all of them look great on the 2.5-inch color display.

High Tech Gift Gadgets - The Vista Side Show

When you talk of high-tech gadgets the first name that comes to your mind is Vista-only Sideshow gizmos. For quite some time now, this has been an excellent high tech gadget, which has excited tech enthusiasts for some time now. A significant point to note is that despite its publicity a long time now, it has failed to make its presence known as of yet.
Vista-only Sideshow gadget is a high tech gadget that was prominently showcased at CES in 2007. In fact it is to be mentioned here that in the last few years a few have been actually shipped. This gadget nonetheless spells good news for those whose budgets are low. Interestingly the slide show is very efficient when used in the mobile phone of windows, hence it is a surefire gift gadget that in years to come, will be high in demand.
There is, however, few negative aspects that are associated with these high tech gadgets and these include high overhead costs. In fact there is a massive increase in overhead costs as it includes color screens and chipsets, which are basically the main problem that is plaguing manufacturers of this excellent high tech gadget. Observers conclude that when the device will actually be shipped, their high manufacturing costs will make them inaccessible to the common folk who might want to buy it. This will be, devastating, despite the popular perception that it is a gadget for the common masses.
While talking about this high tech gadget it needs to be mentioned here that Ikanos Consulting, a startup, has just released beta 2 of the Go Gadgets for Windows Mobile software package. The major effect of this is that this gadget will ensure the availability of Sideshow on any Windows Mobile-based cell phone and hence will make this gadget much more user friendly. Ikanos will be releasing the software on January 8 for free and this announcement has led to a major boost in the software mart.
The Sideshow is an excellent user-friendly gadget that helps in controlling your PC's content, hence is best designated to be an extension of your mobile phone's features. A major characteristic of this gadget is that it adds "glanceable" data to the synchronization mix. With this new gadget in your possession, you can now include information collected from the Internet as well as your local network that will greatly enable you to enhance your content base.
To test the Sideshow one needs to follow certain major steps. The first step is to install beta 2 of the Go Gadgets for Windows Mobile on an AT&T Tilt. However make sure that in the first phase you synce it with a PC running Windows Vista Enterprise. After you are knowledgeable about this great gadget, Sideshow make sure that you open the control panel and make a selection of the high tech gadgets you want to run on phone.
The Side Show is as good as the gadgets that power it. However, since there are not too many Sideshows in the present market the developers are not to keen too develop gadgets

Gadgets and Gizmos For the Men, Cool Toys For the Big Boys

My partner loved gadgets and gizmos. His idea of the worst present on Christmas day or for his birthday would be a jumper. Women do tend to buy practical gifts and yet I know plenty of men that just love gadgets and gizmos. They are still young at heart. Shows like " Click" and "The Gadget Show" have taken off because there is such a demand and interest in new gadgets.
Cool stuff and gadgets are to be enjoyed. Not all gadgets are terribly practical but who cares? Cool stuff is just that...cool and seriously fun.
If they could fill their rooms with stuff from the Gadget Show they would. So forget practical, think fun and let's talk cool stuff.
One of the best selling boys toys in December 08 has been the Silverlit Remote Control Helicopter. Yes we have one of these and they are impossibly FUN. They don't take long to control and to master something hovering above the fern on the coffee table is yes, cool. Another great gadget for music lovers are a pair of wireless headphones. Men really seem to think these cool and there are lots of brands to choose from. Sony always deliver quality and you can pick up a pair of these for under £35.00. The gifts I'm choosing for my husband this year is a Logitech Squeezebox boom.
You need broadband for this, it looks amazing, isn't cheap at just under £200 but it really is a gadget! It basically allows you to listen to music from your computer in any room in the house! It is wireless has access to Internet radio and allows you to listen to all your thousands of music tracks on your pc. Clever. Lastly another gadget which isn't expensive but is just funny is the Ray Gun Channel Changer. It costs under £10.00 and will make that habit men love of flicking channels on the tv so much more fun for them. You can always hide it after Christmas.

5 Fun Things You Can Do With Your Kindle While Riding The Subway

If you commute to and from work (or school) via the subway and recently received a shiny new Kindle, you might be wondering what else you can do with the digital reader besides reading. Let's take a look at five fun things you can do with the Kindle while on the subway.
1. Play A Game - Although the Kindle isn't known for game playing, it is verstaile enough that you can play virtual games on it. Simple no frills and no color games are best, such as hangman or Sudoku.
First you must download the game on to your Kindle digital reader and then have at it. Play till your fingers bleed. To find a few games to download and play - visit the Kindle games page on Amazon. Some (if not most) will be 100% free. Just remember to pick the easy and quick no frills variety.
2. Lend A Book - As of December 2010 you can now lend out books to friends and family. Or anyone else with a Kindle enabled device such as Kindle for the PC, iPhone Kindle app, Android Kindle app, etc. As long as the book in question is "lendable" via the publisher you can let someone borrow it for up to 14 days free of charge. This is a super cool feature Amazon added in late last year and one that no doubt should get a lot of fair use.
3. Shop for a Cool Kindle 3 Cover - If you're carrying around your Amazon e-reader naked. Sans a cover or case, you run the risk of it shattering or worse completely breaking upon a fall or drop. Get yourself a nice protective case or cover to keep it shiny, new and operational. The Kindle comes with a limited web browser but it might get you on to Amazon and shopping. Try and see how it fares for you.
4. Dress Up Your Kindle - If you received a sweet decal skin for your birthday or Christmas, now is a great time to slap it on and see how it looks on your e-reader. The neat thing about decal skins is that once you tire of a design you just take it off and apply another. Not too mention they're inexpensive with good decal skins costing you no more than $20 from a reputable online shop like Decal Girl.
5. Show It Off - Let's be honest. Not everyone has a Kindle just yet and when they see one, they're impressed and or curious about the little gadget. Show off! Well show off by using it on the subway and letting others ask you about the best digital reader on the market. Let people know how much you love your e-reading companion.
Hope you enjoyed our article on five FUN things to do with your Amazon e-reader while on the subway.
